Hello fellow bloggateers!

Hmm... I think its time for a really long blog post, maybe. who knows, we'll see how things go, if I start to trail into nothingness I'll stop for your benefit.

Now, I don't want to do one of those really personal almost Journal posts, this should be some kind of philosofical post, if I can pull that off.

Topic topic topic... hmmm... any ideas? well I could talk about how people are shooting themselves in the feet by writing really personal stuff on blogs/myspace and getting in trouble with the law, example: "I shot a man, here are photos."

Or I could go on and on how the Beatles and Apple Computer Co. are in fights, AND are in the talks about putting the Beatles music on iTunes... so silly.

If you notice, so far i have talked about nothing, and have just filled a bunch of space with nothing, but since i can't post the details on things like who i have a crush on, and all that, it kind of leaves everything empty on here. sorry!

Except, maybe i could say a tiny bit about how Google released a magical little thing called Calendar, next post i'll go in depth about that.

Hello fellow bloggateers!

I, Michael Cooper, have changed this blog's layout once again, although this time has been a little different from my other ones. See, my other ones just had background changes, like, say, an itunes theme that was in fact just a screen shot split into 3 images so it worked with the blog's nature. Not exactly fancy stuff. But this time, I tried something new, and ended up with this current itunes/ipod theme.

Now i'm sure most of you will see this and go "WTF?" i know i did a few times, but i must have a turn to explain: The ipod sidebar came first, then the itunes-ness just followed cause i wanted that back.

The next thing is, the ipod-themed-sidebar actually does stuff! scroll over it and get a great supprise :) .

I am hoping to add something along those lines to the itunes part, but that will only work if i can think of it and it is in my power to do it (i am still in beginner mode of css).

The Day: Monday, April 49th, 2306 (have you ever noticed futuristic stuff only seems to go 100 years ahead of the current year? like, i almost found myself putting 2106, but that is just so bland)

Hello fellow bloggateers!

Today was without a doubt the most exciting day i've had in months, if not years. So i was going to the bank, and this guy came up and tried to take my bank card just as i was walking in the door, of course i was stunned, luckily i became composed very quickly and yelled "hey! thats my card!" (so that people walking by would know why i was chasing him). As i was beginning to catching up a police officer walked up and grabbed the guy by the collar,
all at once i had my card back and the man was being taken to be processed by the legal system. As i walked through those crazy spinning doors at the bank i was careful to hide that i had my card from plain sight.

Next i went to deathstarbucks and got some GREAT coffee, oh my it was amazing.

Then on my way home i walked by the apple store, i just had to look in the window to at least SEE the computers, i wasn't gonna go in cause then i might buy something. They had their newest models set up just for people like me who were walking by and wouldn't come in, very sneaky people they are.

Then when i got home i checked my email and saw that i had one from my friend Francis, he said that we needed to meet ASAP.

I am about to leave to go see him right now, guess it wasn't as exciting as i first said... sorry!

Logo New Spankin' Brand

Hello fellow bloggateers!

As nobody acutally reads this blog, i can safely guess that nobody noticed the new logo and the other small changes i made this weekend ;) .

I must point out to any new readers that this is only my second post at this new location, i used to be hosted over at sitesled.com, but decided since blogger would host it and may be a little faster i would just make the move. So far its worked out just fine.

Now to explain the parts of my logo (at least as they are now, i'm hoping to add a lot more later)

The orange "B" is the logo of Blogger.
The blue "G" is the first letter in the Google logo.
The gray and white apple is one of my many Apple Computer logos i've edited together.
The cartoon boy laughing evil-y (interesting...) is Calvin from the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip
Of course you can all read (or at least i HOPE if your reading this you can) and the last thing says Flickr™ Beta, that is a great photo hosting website.

Here so there you have it, so far i have 5 items in my logo.

Last thing, some may notice that my logo is a mockup Mac OS X window. I am currently working on making my whole blog OS X themed.

Dearest readers, i write to you under the hardest of circumstances, of which i cannot explain due to lack of time. all that need be known is, i have availability to a computer with internet for enough time to sign in and post here. I'm sure your first idea is this is some kind of SOS call, it is not, i am not exactly in trouble so no assistance is asked of you. With the little time i have, i thought i would explain to you something very important to my well-being: iTunes is having a contest to countdown to their 1,000,000,000th download, by giving away an ipod nano and $100 giftcard to the iTunes Music Store to every 100,000th song buyer, that buys on the even number like 951,000,000th song.

ok, i had this whole long thing planned for telling you some news i found out yesterday and today (funny, i didn't know someone could find out about something two days in a row... anyway: MOVE ALONG FOLKS, NOTHING TO SEE HERE)

wow, i get off track so easily (like this one time i was writing on my blog, and i was ... oh wait.. that just happened... anyway: MOVIN... wait.. that also just happend
(i must really think i'm funny, mus...in't i?)

anyway, my point was, i'm going to hurry thru what i had planned and just generally mess around besides that

In the news:

Apple(BTW we now love them again)'s (can you really do that? i think i just broke every rule in the book with that) CEO Steve Jobs' company Pixar is being bought by Disney (the king of cartoon (as opposed to beer)) which would then make Mr. Jobs the highest share holder, basically, i call him the owner.
um... i thought there was something else.. man, i'm really starting to get bad at having more than one topic. i think i should just stop using the numbered list thing, its to blame this time..
wow, i can't top the numbers from comming back, i hit "next line" (i would say return, but most people know of it as "ENTER" on their PC scum (joey (norton) will know what i'm talking about).

hey, i figured out how to get past it... who would have known doing a DOUBLE return?? wow, i'm a genious (now people think i'm stupid cause they don't know i already knew how to get past the stupid numbered list thing... stupid number list thing making me look dumb... "i'll get you NL, next time.... NEXT TIME!!!")

Just click and spit

Hey, looks as if i was one day ahead of mtv with my Apple vs The Postal Service (see mtv article here).

(lets hope mtv doesn't sue me for using their screen shots image)

(what ever happened to mtv being about, well, MUSIC?? oh well, another time and story)

So, last night while i was making my last post (Apple vs The Postal Service (i changed the name just now because i like the way it rings)) i was surfing the web like i always am, and i stumbled upon some place (i honestly don't remember where it was now (i have a feeling it was when i was on apple.com looking at ipod support (i'm always doing that))) (holy cow, i just did three (3) close parentheses) that said something like "just go to Advanced, then click Convert for iPod." I was like "WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN???"

All this time i've been converting my videos using third-party
software, and then apple goes and makes it so i don't have to, but forgets to freaking tell me about it! (i just deleted the two extra exclamation points i had, because i despise "!!!" with a passion)

So, today, while attempting to put a video on (this is hilarious, you'd never guess what videos i was putting on my ipod), i tried out the new feature. At first i
just thought it was going to do some kind of hidden quicktime convert where it might even open quicktime and take FOREVER to do a small job, interestingly enough, itunes handled it exactly like it does music: it opens a thing saying "converting music" (haha, guess they forgot to change it to do videos... oh well, maybe next update) and it shows a gray version of the name and info stuff like it will appear, but, like i said, gray.

Now, again i must say, everything i had heard was along these lines: Quicktime takes HOUR AND HOURS to convert stuff that should only take minutes" and that type of thing, which i still believe is true for what they are talking about, because the h.264 is new stuff and its good quality, so its gonna take a little longer than the perfected stuff.
But to my utter suprise and overwhelming joy it did the conversion very quickly, like, a 30 second .mov apple ad (your saying "haha, i see what your doing") took about 15 seconds that i could tell, but then even more suprising, the next thing i did was a 4 minute Jimmy Kimmel video, and it took about the same time that i could tell, and then i tried converting "Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service, it said "this video is already in the correct format," which i had no idea it could have been, because it never said it on their website.

So, like usual, my mind is spinning with great ideas i have to try with this awwwwesome new toy... i mean.. tool.

Changing for the better, maybe

Hmm... um.. la la la... huh? oh holy cow, i'm sorry, i didn't notice my blog had started. You gotta warn me about that sooner, i might have done something stupid.

For those of you who notice things very well (or in this case, come to my blog at all), i'd like to say thank you very much for noticing the changes i made. For the rest of you, rot in hel... er.. they're telling me we're a family-friendly blog... great. hmm.. anyway, let us get past all this dumb mocking of myself and get right to my point of today: I changed the logo to be smaller, so you can read more without having to scroll (i'm not saying you'll have to scroll any less, just not as much for the first 309 words), and so it doesn't hurt the people's eyes i was hurting by having it so large.

Yay! Two days in a row

And so, today i have set a new personal record... ok maybe not, but anyway, you have to give me credit for posting to days in a row with real posts (or at least i'm hopping this will end as a real post).

And now, for the purpose i am going to attmept this post to be about:
I will now fix/explain the last posts as best i can (kind of like one of those behind the scenes shows).

(hey look, i'm using those darn number list things again, weird isn't it? is this some new way of doing a blog or something?)

First off, in my last post, on number 4 i said "Christmas Loot*," now i'm here to talk about the star that i forgot to explain then because i was going to bed and said i would handle tonight, normally i would have just left that as a lie and would NEVER explain that at all, and my blog would go neglected for months on end and then when a new ipod came out i might say some small thing on it and then again back to neglect. anyway back to the point: if i was going to explain that yesterday i would have done it like this at the bottom below my signature "* I in no way am trying to mean that i don't apprictate the gifts i get for Christmas, or even mean that i just get stuff for the sake of having it, most of the things i got were asked for in a very nice way, and are enjoyed by me and will be enjoyed by me for years, not months, not days, years. thank you."*
and finally (wow, number 2 and already to the last, someone has other things to be doing tonight) i should say i'm sorry about not getting pictures of my new posters, but i did think about it, and i now realize i can't get a picture of them because not only is my room so small most of them are impossible to get a good angle on, but also they are spread out thru my small room but around corners in a way that would mean a picture for each poster, which would just suck. so, sorry, no poster pictures tonight.

Back into the Blog

I'm beginning to be one of those people who's only posts on their blog is "hey, sorry about not posting for the last 3 months, I'm hopping now i'll post every day."

So, I'm gonna do some kind of cool numbered list thing to show what i've been doing (hopefully it will make what stuff flow better, also so i can remember things better)

THINGS I'VE DONE IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS (AND AM DOING)

1. Using my new video iPod- sometime in october apple came out with the video ipod, the second i saw it i knew it would be mine soon enough (insert evil yet humorous laugh here). interestingly enough, this time i was right and 3 or 4 weeks later i had my very own video ipod (am i saying that too much?), just so i don't get too caught up talking about how freaking awesome it is I'm going to just sum it all up by saying= I didn't have music on the ipod until at least 10 hours after taking it out of the box (obviously not because i couldn't, but because the photos and videos and even some of the calendar stuff is also JUST SO FREAKING AWESOME)
2. I've been uploading videos into my ipod (HEY MICHAEL! you can't do that, this should go in with the ipod thing!). No but seriously, this is on the side cause it sometimes takes 12 hours to get the videos converted or whatever else is required cause i have an old comp and other reasons.
3. I watched the Colts lose 4 or 5 preseason games (in a row), and then win 13 reg.-season games (in a row) and then now they just lost to the Steelers in the playoffs. So no superbowl this year either. SAD.
4. Christmas Loot* 2005: Family Guy Seasons 1 & 2 DVD, South Park Season 1 DVD, Racing Wheel for my PS2, Tony Hawk: American Wasteland, Peyton Manning Jersey, and many other but personal type gifts that i probably forgot, but won't admit to forgetting on my blog, because people have eyes, and I'm rambling again. "shutting up"
5. Ah number five, so wonderful isn't it? i could just go ON and ON about nothing at all, and there really isn't much you could do except skip on to number 6 which i promise will be a real thing, but it might involve you using the scroll thingy because i really can just ramble and ramble about nothing, in fact i bet i could get paid to type things in for hours on end... oh wait... i already do! yay! i win, you lose, its as simple as that, and I'm getting tired so i guess i'll cut myself short and go on to number six which will be a wonderfully real (as much as real can be nowadays).
6. I grew a beard and then shaved it, then after watching a few playoff football game realized that all the good quarterbacks have beards like i had. oh well maybe next time (i had gone at least 3 months without shaving, i'll get a picture if i can for you)
7. (this one is stupid and shows I'm running out of ideas cause I'm tired (and will post stuff that is real later if i get the correct time)) I put up a few new posters in my room, i'll also see if i can get some pictures for you, tho it might be hard cause my room is so small the flash might bounce 5 or 6 times (joking).

Here is my First Screen shot, it shows a few of the dragon icons i downloaded today, thought it'd be fun to get some dragons around the desktop.

Also, some might notice i have a b/w desktop picture gradient, i love it so much because icons look good all over the screen, not just in the parts that are one color.

Whats in a Blog?

Well, once again i am here to attempt writing on this all around bland blog.

I believe my problem not knowing what to write stems from the fact that i do not have a common theme, like say a Super Star Wars Fan Blog, or a Harry Potter Movie Book Super Duper Grand Blog, etc... so you see, all i must do is find my theme and the rest will come on its own.

and so while writing this i made up my mind that i will write about the things i do on my computer, such as What new icons i use, maybe a link to a good comic strip i read, or even things like What i did with my ipod today.

I hope you enjoy this finally Themed Blog.

Judging People

When we first see someone, we make a first judgment of the them. No one can say they don't, because it is just human nature. We just assume, judge, and group people without even thinking. Now sometimes "grouping" people isn't all bad, there are times when we can think "that person is friendly." Now, most people wouldn't say that is a bad thing (I know I wouldn't), but if you can see, using the same grouping a person could think "that person is ugly," which anyone will say is just right out mean. So in fact people are judging people even if they are not using it in a way to put the person down or think badly of them. Now this doesn't mean that we should start saying "I can judge you and its OK because I am using it in a good way," because we will hit a point where drawing the line will become too hard for us to do, and then we will end up using it in its evil way. That is why people say "Do not judge anyone." Now of course these people are generally meaning the mean judging, but in fact without even knowing it they are also telling you not to judge the person in what would be a good way. So people listening to this widely said community rule are actually not making friends the way they should, but are just doing nothing, which ends with the result being almost the same as if we had not listened to this wise rule because we are just bland and people start finding ways to entertain themselves, and end up making things like bombs and shooting people with guns just out of pure boredom (or just killing themselves). Now you have to understand I am not saying in anyway saying we should not heed the main point of this rule (don't judge people in a bad way), but we need to understand that this rule needs to include the point of: "go say something nice to your neighbor." Notice the part about going and still saying something, that is the important thing, saying something nice to/about this person, we too often think about only the bad stuff about a person and may point out they're flaws to someone else (judging). But if we were to simply stop and think before we said the judging thing, and think of something good about the person we could make the world a better place to live in, in mere minutes.

A couple days ago Apple computer put out a new iPod, well to tell the truth i am unsure if you can really care it a real true "ipod." because it is unike the others in more than 10 ways. here are those ways:

1 IT HAS NO SCREEN
2 About 800 songs less than the ipod mini
3 Much Much smaller
4 Doesn't have touch wheel
5 Is shaped like a piece of gum (unlike the others being more like a... ipod)
6 It only connnects to USB (unlike the super fast firewire (for mac mostly))
7 It has flash storage space (unlike the others being hard drives)
8 It is like 1/4 the price of the ipod mini (which will really get people buying it just because)
9 IT HAS NO SCREEN
10 You won't have ANY extra space like on the others

So, nice little list of ways the new ipod shuffle is different from the others. will you buy one? if you do please let me know, because i would love to post your pics of you and it (or just it alone) for my readers. since you are a reader also i will ask you to also take pics where ever you see one.

Motorola and Apple have joined hands to make what some are calling the "iPhone."

A suit from Motorola gave a sneak of a phone that can play itunes music, from what i have read before now it should be able to hold something like 10 to 15 songs (most likely 12), and will also be a phone. Now i don't want to sound crazy but i did say a couple months ago when i got my ipod that the next step for apple would be a phone... now i didn't think they would get any other company in it, but i guess it doesn't make ANY sense for apple to start from scratch on a phone service. only people from cali would get service for the first 10 years, i see failure for that. BUT that is not the case, they are half way brilliant, but to tell the truth, i am not going to buy the phone (but that might be because i don't have the funds).

In other news, people are dead, lots and lots of people are dead, what can we do about it? well most websites i have seen seem to say donate money to the red cross or some nice place like that, from what i have heard a lot has already been sent and is trying to be used over seas to help people. but i also heard it is still almost impossible for them to really help people just yet, because workers are unable to get to people, so your funds are better used for buying people like me new computers to write nice stories, until the funds can be put to use.
